Artieri Alabastro
Artieri Alabastro, established in 1895 in the historic town of Volterra, Italy, was created to unite the finest alabaster artisans in preserving this time-honoured craft. The name "Artieri" was inspired by the renowned Italian writer Gabriele D'Annunzio, who, after visiting the cooperative in 1908, was captivated by the exquisite handmade alabaster creations crafted by Volterran artisans. By the 1930s, Artieri had become a leading Italian Art Deco manufacturer, celebrated globally for its exceptional craftsmanship, use of high-quality alabaster, and refined, artisanal designs.
